07/14/25 ☆☆☆☆ I've always liked this little theater. Reminds me of back when theaters had personalities. They have done a wonderful job in restoring it. The new chairs are very comfortable. *But please, don't call a medium drink a large. The only hiccup tonight was that the AC went out, and it was hot as hell. Even Tyrus was dripping on stage...overall it was a great night though! Got tickets to see Tyrus for my mom for her birthday, she loved it. As did my sister (they had never been to this theater before). I've been coming here for years for the Horror Fest..

Response from Augusta Historic Theatre & Arts Council We are so glad that you came to our "Hidden Gem!" It was awful that 2 of our 4 a/c motors failed during the show, apparently a sold out show in the middle of summer is more than a 90 year old theatre wants to handle (but seriously, we will work on getting that fixed). Glad you still enjoyed the show! Keep an eye out for more Live performances in addition to our regular movie line-ups.
